Alex Ryberg is a modern yogic healer, nature lover, travel enthusiast, community organizer and artful human. In the last five years, she’s accomplished over 2,000 hours of training in different systems of yoga and yoga therapy, her primary focus being SomaVeda Thai Yoga & Ayurveda. She feels compelled to explore and express the medicinal aspects of yoga in a practical way, encouraging others to step out of fear and welcome the practice as is.
When not traveling, Alex spends her days hosting private SomaVeda™ Thai Yoga Integrative Therapy sessions. SomaVeda is a comprehensive system founded upon the principles of Thai Yoga, Ayurveda and Natural Medicine. The sessions combine Thai Yoga, EFT, contemplative counseling, spiritual/emotional support, and Ayurvedic lifestyle coaching. Alex also certifies others to practice SomaVeda Thai Yoga, having hosted classes not only in Cincinnati, but Florida, California, New York, and Ecuador as well. She is currently in the brainstorming stages of opening up a small clinic and Thai Yoga school in her hometown.
Alex also teaches seasonal six week yoga series at The Hive – a Center for Contemplation, Art & Action, in her hometown; experimenting and refining the theme in medicinal & practical aspects of yoga from an eastern and western perspective.
When not brainstorming towards clinic goals, hosting privates, or teaching yoga & thai yoga, you’ll find Alex hiking, making art, cooking thoughtful meals, organizing a small sustainability and wellness festival – Pollination Fest, developing her newfound love for design, preparing to renovate a carriage house with her partner, practicing and studying yoga, planning her next travel adventure, and working towards a degree to become a Doctor of Sacred Natural Medicine.
