Journey to Self

With Josue, Ronit and Stephanie McKenzie

September 1 - 8, 2023

Join us on this journey to self-awareness through plant medicines guided by caring and experienced masters of ceremony. Each day of this experience has been specially curated to provide support and nourishment for the journey of your lifetime. This plant medicine retreat is not for those merely interested in plant medicine, but for those who are truly ready to face their shadows and engage with themselves on an inner-worldly level.  This plant medicine retreat will feature an Ayahuasca ceremony with additional ceremonial offerings of Rape’ and Peyote.  Daily practices and meditations along with herbal baths and sweat lodge gatherings will help you prepare and integrate this intense experience of plant medicine ceremonies.

Our Shaman tribe is a multi-ethic diverse partnership that brings a modern approach to these ancient practices and ceremonies. We come from Costa Rica, India, Israel and United States. We gather the first night for a gentle opening to help you land from the physical journey with a long grounding yin yoga practice with meditation. Dinner follows with a bountiful spread of vegan delicacies specially created to support the plant medicine experiences. The second day continues with grounding and anchoring in the environment to allow for intention to be very clear before we journey through the ether. We will open and close the day with guided practices of mindful movement, breath work and mediation. The meals are sequenced in honor of your bodies needs to digest this experience. No worries. Just eat. On day three a feeling of reverence arrives as we make the final preparations through herbal baths and dedication of fasting with intention. Then we surrender to the guide of the Shamans and listen to their songs. The journeys will include Ayahuasca, Peyote, Rapé, and Bufo. The day in between the two Ayahuasca and Bufo will feature a Temazcal sweat lodge. The remainder of the day will be dedicated to rest, recovery and reconciliation with the truths of the experience. A gentle day with gentle foods. The fifth day we return to our mats and allow ourSelves to receive the outpouring of benefits theses journeyed bring. We continue with mindful movement, breath work and meditation for integrating what we learn. Day six we celebrate with a Cacao ceremony guided by Rosa from the BriBri nation. Then we feast and dance with live local Caribbean music.

This retreat will feel like an eternity and a split second all at once.  It’s awesome. It’s powerful.

Stephanie McKenzie
I sought refuge from a very early age in the quiet moments within a child pose held in a dark closet.  I found freedom in losing my way in the forest.  I’ve felt the vastness of diversity while floating upon the warm sea.  I gained clarity from moments of silence that stretched for days and then years. I understand the shifting nature of a human mind. I’ve learned that nourishing…
